--GAPSTM MAPPING: CREATING A VISION OF THE FUTURE
Description
This day long event is for those
who would like to effectively facilitate the three day
GAPStm Mapping workshop. The focus will be on
facilitation skills. Presentation skills will also be
addressed and participants will have portions of their
presentations video taped. A GAPStm
Mapping Seminar Leader’s Manual will also be provided to each participant.
To complete the certification
process, upon completion of this course, individuals
must co-facilitate a GAPStm Mapping event to the satisfaction of the certified lead facilitator at that event. (Objective criteria that this evaluator will use will be described to the candidate for certification prior to this event).
Organizations sponsoring
participants in this class will then be permitted to
license for use all GAPStm Mapping materials provided that a certified facilitator directs the course.

Who Should Attend?
This course is best suited for
individuals who have some experience as a facilitator or
trainer and who have been designated by their respective
organizations to lead future GAPStm
Mapping events internally. Those going through the trainer program should be well-regarded by those whom they will ultimately serve in a facilitation role. We will be happy to assist you in determining who would be best suited for this role.
Session Instructor/Facilitator
The
instructor/facilitator for this session will be Asbury
Lockett, the primary developer of the GAPStm
Program. He has been actively involved in the
GAPStm approach to process improvement since
the early eighties. A highly experienced trainer
and facilitator, he has taught a variety of courses
related to the GAPStm tools. Asbury has
also helped successfully implement process improvements
via the GAPStm
approach in numerous private and public sector organizations.
In addition to over 20 years of process improvement experience, his educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. He also has extensive formal training in executive coaching and is certified as an Empowerment Coach through iPEC Coaching in Manasquan, NJ.
Maximum Number of Participants
To insure personalized attention, the maximum number of participants per session will be 10.
Prerequisites
Completion of GAPS 101 or GAPS 102
in addition to previous participation in a
GAPStm
Mapping event. Some experience in a training or facilitation role.
